Fougère is French for fern. Fougère fragrances are usually categorized as green, floral, oriental or citrusy. Fougère perfumes are made with lavender at their Top.

Men are drawn to this type of perfume in particular. You will notice that many modern fougères, (which combine a citrus top note with herbaceous, vegetal, floral, and animalic notes) are designed for them.

Aromatic Fougere is scenting which is a derivative of this class. They contain additional herbal, woodsy and spicy notes to jar the senses. Common ones include vetiver and geranium, adding to the crispness of lavender in the top notes. Bergamot also provides an offsetting fresh scent to the fragrance.
